Noninvasive characterization of time-varying cortical connectivity from scalp EEG signals.

Résumé :

In this seminar I will briefly present my work on the non-invasive characterization of time-varying cortical connectivity from multivariate EEG signals. In the first part of the seminar I will introduce briefly the methodological aspects related to i) inverse problem solutions for cortical source reconstruction, ii) Granger causality methods for time-varying connectivity, and iii) graph theoretical indexes for brain network analyses. In the second part of the seminar, particular attention will be devoted to applications related to voluntary motor tasks and to the effects of BCI training on brain connectivity.
