On September 2013, GIPSA-Lab acquired NINA, an iCub2.0 built by the IIT
in Genoa, Italy. This humanoïd robot is ready for speech:
compared
to the standard iCub, NINA is able to move its jaw and lips. NINA has
an embedded loudspeaker in its mouth and two
high-quality microphones in its ears. Together with gaze, head
and
hand gestures, we aim at giving socio-communicative skills to NINA so
that it could have a situated face-to-face conversation with human
interlocutors.
