Organization

This spring school follows the Fisrt Workshop on the Theory of Belief functions held in Brest (France) on April 4 – 8, 2010.

This school is organized to provide the opportunity for the participants to exchange on their current research :
  • Lectures given by international experts on both theoretical aspects and applications.
  • Posters sessions for ongoing research: participants are invited to present their research during one or two sessions.
  • Workshop on actual problems: participants are invited to propose their application problems that will be discussed during the workshop sessions.

Poster session

A poster session is planed during the school. It concerns participants interested to present their works and/or applications related to the Belief Functions. The scientific committee will select the posters based on a summary.

Because the objective of this session is to foster discussions between participants, these communications cannot be considered as publications.

Workshop

During the school, some sessions are dedicated to a workshop on real problems proposed by the participants for which the framework of Belief Functions can be a good approach.

The workshop will be organized in small groups that will work on the first steps to solving the problems. The final Friday session will be dedicated to a joint review and analysis of the workshop.
