Current position

Dr. Giorgio A. Licciardi received the M.Sc. degree in telecommunication engineering and the Ph.D. degree in “geoinformation” from the Tor Vergata University, Rome, Italy, in 2005 and 2010, respectively. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow conducting his research with the Department for Signals and Images of the Grenoble-Image-sPeech-Signal-Automatics Lab (GIPSA-Lab) on the behalf ANR. His main research is based on on spatial enhancement of hyperspectral images.
Research interests also include the development of information extraction approaches from different remote sensing data (SAR, Optical), and multispectral and hyperspectral image analysis.
He is currently a European Space Agency Category-1 Principal Investigator for Earth observation data:

Proposal 6343 “Testing algorithms for data mining and neural network classification using MERIS data”
Proposal 6519 “Autoassociative neural networks for extraction of nonlinear principal components from HS data”
Proposal 8653 “Pansharpening of CHRIS and HRC data using fusion techniques and nonlinear principal component analysis”
