Team Member(s)
The Mechatronics Department, more commonly known as Mécatro GIPSA-lab, is a research support department specializing in the study, design, and construction of functional prototypes. Its team possesses a wide range of expertise, spanning mechanics, electronics, electrical engineering, and scientific instrumentation.
It is part of the GIPSA-lab Technical Division and consists of four people.
The Workshops
The mechatronics department comprises two workshops: a mechanical workshop and an electronics workshop, both equipped with conventional and digital equipment for rapid prototyping, enabling: machining, 3D printing, plasma cutting, welding, assembly, etching of printed circuit boards, soldering of electronic boards, computer coding, programming, and the construction of electromechanical cabinets…
Skills
The technical and scientific teams in the Mechatronics Department bring unique expertise to all scientific fields covered at GIPSA-lab, from theory to prototyping:
- Advanced processing of all types of signals and images,
- Advanced Automatic
- Speech and Interaction Processing.
The areas of application range from energy to healthcare, including aerial robotics, the automotive industry, housing, the environment, and food.
Completed Projects
The projects carried out focus primarily on research and teaching platforms, but also include research and technology transfer projects.
