Associate Professor Grenoble-INP

Welcome...
I am an associate professor at the Speech and Cognition Departement of GIPSA-lab (PCMD research team: Speech Brain Multimodality Development). I teach at the Grenoble Institute of Technology ( PHELMA engineering school).

My research topics:

  • Role of manual gestures in multimodal spoken communication: gesture / speech coordination (motion capture, role of prosody, motor and communicational coordination constraints... see Salammbo project), contribution of manual gestures dor the compensation of perturbations in spoken communication (modality deficiency, Specific Language Impairments, Down Syndrome)
  • Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) : use in ecological situations by children and/or adults without speech (e.g., people with rare neurogenetic syndroms) see here
  • Spoken communication in people with Down Syndrome: multimodality, interaction, compensation ( ComEns project)
  • Multimodality and multisensoriality of prosody
  • Neural correlates of the perception of prosody
  • Physiological (electromyography) and neural characterization of innerspeech in ordinary people and Auditory Verbal Hallucinations in people with schizophrenia
