Bladetips Energy, la start-up issue de GIPSA-lab, qui développe des éoliennes volantes offshore à moindre coût, atteint aujourd'hui une maturité technologique de niveau 4 et passe en incubation au sein de la SATT Linksium. Giovanni DE NUNZIO, ancien doctorant de l'équipe NECS a obtenu le Prix de thèse 2016 de la COMUE Université Grenoble Alpes pour son travail de recherche intitulé "Traffic Eco-Management in Urban Traffic Networks" et soutenu en 2015.
Léo FERNANDES, étudiant en DUT Génie électrique et informatique industrielle en alternance, rejoint le service Plates-Formes et Projets dans le cadre d'un contrat d'apprentissage à GIPSA-lab jusqu'en juin 2017.
Stéphane GUILLASO rejoint l'équipe SIGMAPHY en tant qu'expert pour 6 mois dans le but de travailler avec Michel GAY sur l'élaboration d'un modèle et d'un algorithme de détection, de localisation et de suivi des distributions d’icebergs dans la zone arctique de Zackenberg (Monitoring iceberg using estimation of Sea-Ice SAR clutter statistics). Spécialiste du traitement d'images SAR, Stéphane GUILLASO est Senior Research Fellow au Technische Universität de Berlin.
