Research interests:

  • inverse problems
  • modeling, estimation and control of cyberphysical systems
  • data-riven control
  • frugality: less is more !

Applications: Health-related issues, controlling machine learning algorithms, control of computing systems.

I'm interested in controlling and optimizing machine learning algorithms in order to improve their efficiency (reduce execution time, reduce memory consumption), while maximizing performance.

I also apply control theory techniques to computing systems (also called autonomic computing by our colleagues in computer science) in order to create dependable, self-managing computing system. Here I'm interested mainly in Cloud, HPC-High Performance Computing, and IoT.

I like to apply control techniques to health-related issues: sparse identification, normality characterization and anomaly detection in medical time-series. We used this on EEG or EKG for early detection of Parkinson, Schizophrenia, cardiac diseases.
